Your Next Stamp Sketch and Color Challenge

Hello all and happy Tuesday! I was excited this week to discover Your Next Stamp is hosting a challenge! It's a sketch and color challenge so you're able to choose between a specific color scheme (which they had beautiful colors) or a sketch to follow. This little guy is my entry for the color portion of it. Try as I might, I just could not come up with a card for the sketch...now I have a massive mound of card stock scraps to clear off my desk from my failures! Also, I am by no means a Copic coloring expert...in fact, I'm probably worse than a beginner, but I gave this little cutie my all and I must say I'm pretty proud of how him and these little chickies turned out!

What I Used:
The reindeer and the chick stamps are a stamp set from StampingBella and to color those guys in I used a mass amount of Copics. For the chicks I used Y21, Y15, and YR15 with W-1 and W-3 as the shadows. Then for the reindeer I used E25, E47, W-8, N-8, E23, and the W-1 and W-3 again for his shadow. Lastly, I used R27, BG57, BG53, R24, YG63, and YG67 for the lights with my GellyRoll white gel pen for the light spots.

The sentiment is from another stamp set from a Newton's Nook stamp set which I will link to below.

I used some thick Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' Up!, though I'm sure any heavy duty cardstock will do as long as it works well with Copic coloring. The green polka dot paper I used in the background of the card is from the Happy Holly Days paper pack by Paper Studio.

Here is a link to the challenge so all of you can go show off your lovely crafts too --> Show Your Stuff! Get to your craft tables quick though since it ends on January 5th!
Love you all,
Pipsy
